Itd be a great app if it kept track of your progress
This app is very user-friendly and would certainly make mastery of a foreign language much simpler than the old-fashioned way of memorizing long lists of vocabulary and grammar rules. However, it has a fatal bug: your completed lessons dont get saved when you stop working, so when you come back to it later, you find yourself right back at Lesson One, Part One again.
The app is based on the idea of learning a language through immersion rather than by learning to translate from one language to another. There are no grammar rules to memorize, no vocabulary lists, no conjugation tables -- and the "match the word to the picture" approach makes it easy to master the vocabulary and grammar without even realizing it.
One feature that is missing is a spoken component. The modules focus on listening and writing skills only. I would like to see speaking skills added to the modules … after all, the reason I wanted to learn more languages in the first place was so that I could learn to SPEAK them.
To be fair, since this is version 1.0.1, the app is no doubt a work in progress. Hopefully the developers will get these issues fixed in the next update. Until then, however, the bugs and the lack of a spoken element prevents me from giving this app the high rating it would otherwise deserve.
